The Cotswolds
This is a suggested route and includes many of the highlights so popular in the Cotswolds. If there is somewhere in particular you'd like to visit do let us know and we will amend the itinerary accordingly.

We begin our day embarking on a journey through the idyllic Cotswolds by collecting you from the steps of your hotel in a luxury car driven by either Mark himself or one of our very experienced associate guides.

First stop is the enchanting Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe. We take a guided tour with one of the custodians through the castle's rooms, soaking in centuries of history, before exploring the award-winning gardens and the final resting place of Queen Catherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII. She is the only English Queen to be buried on private land.

Our driver then whisks us away to Broadway Tower, the second-highest point in the Cotswolds. Here, we can enjoy the panoramic views stretching over several counties. There is the option to ascend the Tower for an even more stunning vista.

Next, we head to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest of the Cotswolds towns. Here, we explore the town square, encircled by ancient Cotswold stone buildings and teashops. If time permits, we might visit St. Edward's Church, known for its yew tree-framed door, which is said to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien.

Afterwards, we visit the market town of Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' due to its elegant low bridges and tree-shaded river. We might enjoy a pub lunch or explore the Model Village, a 1/9th scale replica of the town itself. This even has a model of the model village in it, and then that has one too!

Our last stop is the picturesque village of Bibury, described by William Morris as "the most beautiful village in England." We take a leisurely stroll along Arlington Row, (pictured above) admiring the historic 14th-century weavers' cottages along the tranquil River Coln.

As the sun begins to set, we retreat back to our vehicle, ending a delightful day immersed in the charm and history of the Cotswolds.
